Behold! The hens are sorting the eggs on their own!!
A photograph of a playing box in which the green eggs on the left side and the brown eggs are on the right side. I did not sort these. The hens did.

The shadows are getting longer and longer. The sun highlights the limestone so nicely at this time of year.

I'll give it a go when I've finished Modern Nature. I'm enjoying the gentleness of it, the way it sways back and to in time.

Am reading Book 1 of his journals (Modern Nature) at the moment. I really like his style.

And last but not least, number three who seems to have a bit of a trout pout going on. Or maybe it's just a sulk.

Happy Monday from the gorgeous Brie and her son, Cicero! 🤩

Brie was born in 2013 when all of our calves were named after different types of Cheese and Cicero was born in 2020 when all of our calves were named after Beans, Seeds and Peas. Cicero's name comes from the Latin for Chickpea! 🧀🫘🫛

WHY IS THE WORLD GOING ROUND.
WHY IS THERE FOOTBALL ON TV.
WHY HAS THAT PINK DUCK ONLY GOT ONE LEG.

Another limestone carving fashioned from an old balustrade. We bought three of these years ago; these days they're outdoors on the terrace, keeping an eye on things.

Just wild sown 200 hundred acorns

Picked up in local paths where there was no chance of a future, & placed in areas where they have every chance

Within every acorn there is a potential forest
