Unpopular opinion: the obsession with whether Nigel Farage is taking Russian money is obscuring us from the far more troubling reality of where he's actually taking money from.

Yes, Russians have used Tether to launder money. So does everyone.

Terwijl de president van Oekraïne wellicht binnen de EU is aangevallen, denkt @VVD de tijd te hebben voor spelletjes ten bate van de verwende achterban.

Dat is echt voer voor journalisten (en als die dat laten liggen: historici).

So I recently got hold of a CRT for gaming. It's cool and all but the flickering is crazy. I never had a problem with it in the day but now it gives me a headache after a few minutes.

Otherwise old games do look a whole lot better.

Is there something wrong with the set or is it me?

We know where Putin's daughter lives.
Four unidentified military-style drones flew along the flight path of President Zelensky’s aircraft on Monday evening, violating a no-fly order as he traveled to Ireland, The Journal reports.

Been catching up on my podcasts and I have to say that the recent Common Sense from @dancarlin.bsky.social is a cracker.

Finally seeing an American articulate my political views (freedom above all) which I've framed as "real/not-retarded libertarian" is awesome.

Putin: ‘Russia is ready to keep fighting until the last Ukrainian dies.’

Western politicians & press: ‘Peace talks have stalled…’

Russia has zero interest in peace. Calling Kremlin demands for Ukrainian surrender ‘peace talks’ is just another way of spreading their propaganda.

So the worst thing they have to say about Labour is some semantics, but the Tories are great because all they do is tank our economy, cripple us strategically and through 20 billion GBP of NHS money to their backers and friends to buy their yachts.
Truly shocking that Rachel Reeves had the audacity to call herself the U14 girls chess champions when she won the U14 girls chess championship but some bloke thought she was talking about something else.

CDR makes so little sense when we could also massively ramp up trees - reforest everywhere - and if we do that properly we can even reverse desertification.
People who say we should have unlimited energy so we can do CO₂ removal (CDR) at a massive scale don’t understand that there are so many other factors that prevent scaling of CDR.

Among them are geophysical and environmental (land, water, resources, ecosystems), societal, financial, and governance.

Tesla stock is priced like an exponential growth stock yet the only Tesla sales have been decimated - two years in a row - whilst VW sales not only track Tesla's largest jump, they also dwarf it.

Insane.
"Tesla is currently seeking regulatory approval for a form of so-called "Full Self-Driving" across Europe, which appears to be a potential lighthouse to save a dreadful 2025 for the company."

In The Netherlands they're trying to ban "Mincemeat" which doesn't contain meat.

It's patent bullshit: Mince Pies (and the mincemeat they're made of) have been a thing forever and they contain no meat.
1. The European Parliament’s attempt to ban plant-based foods from being sold as “sausages”, “burgers” etc is a direct response to livestock industry lobbying. This is a short thread on how utterly bleeding ridiculous it is. 🧵1/6

This is so stupid.. I love meat but some of these modern meat replacements are really nice.

The Beyond Meat burger is better than all but the premium beef burgers.
And the meat industry lobbies have managed (not difficult really) to drag the wannabe-alpha-male rage-bait idiots (and their votes) along with them, believing they'll lose their 'manhood' if the accidentally eat a non-meat burger 😂
