Americans encounter bureaucratic friction in almost all consumer experiences, including subscriptions, insurance, and rentals—and “the American government doesn’t help the situation,” @annielowrey.bsky.social argues:
America’s Annoyance Economy Is Growing
The government should protect consumers instead of annoying them.

As NBC does some *extremely* judicious editing to the package they deliver to prime time TV viewers, showing "just the good stuff" (and often not in chronological order), perhaps they could've offered a similarly pared-down version of the Super Bowl for those of us who "only want the good stuff." 1/

The president constantly lying about stolen elections, after staging a coup attempt, & now threatening to federalize & steal future elections, should be the primary news story in the country 24/7 & on every front page until he is impeached & removed next week.

Early in his career, William Randolph Hearst famously joked that if his papers kept losing $1 million a year, he'd lose all his money in 60 years. If the Post continues to lose $100 million a year, it will take Jeff Bezos 2000 years to lose his money.

If I were a true person of faith I'd stay away from this performative endorsement of religion, especially with the least christian POTUS ever trying to stroke his own ego rather than show grace and humility.

Seriously: if you are clergy or of any religious cloth and you endorse this? Abhorrent.
Trump at National Prayer Breakfast: "They rigged the second election. I had to win it. I needed it for my own ego. I would've had a bad ego for the rest of my life. Now I really have a big ego. Beating these lunatics was incredible ... The first time they said I didn't win the popular vote. I did"

This is what actual leaders do: stand up for the health of their environment and citizens.

They don't try to pad the wallets of their friends.

They don't give in to bad advice.

They take a stand and do the hard work, spending political capital that can bring positive returns for all.

Immediately disqualifying, and they should be impeached and removed the moment there are enough votes for it.

The Federal judiciary has a cancer that is growing, and it needs to be cut out entirely.
Another batch of Trump's judicial nominees refused in their confirmation hearings today to publicly acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, which annoyed Sen. Richard Blumenthal enough for him to call them "monkeys" and "puppets"

States aren’t “agents” of the federal government. Amendment X: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States….” Also, our Constitution assigns to the states the administration of federal elections, dumb ass.
