I've experienced this firsthand, and it's AWESOME.

Many folks from the U.S. marvel at this stuff when they take holidays or business trips in Switzerland. Yet they scoff at the idea of doing something like this at home.

Actual experts who know what they’re talking about know that smart bike-lanes for people on e-bikes or any other bikes aren’t “subsidized.” They have excellent returns-on-investment, support economic development, save public money, etc.

Bad news about car lanes though. HEAVILY subsidized.

They'll not see the worst of it, so they simply don't care.

They don't even care that their kids have a planet that's habitable.

It's a myopic world view and we all suffer for it.
