Final verdict on 107 Days: Vile. It's heinous to be at the top of a ruling class party that played a crucial role in creating the conditions for the rise of fascism and then claim to have opposed it in any meaningful way, all while repeating racist lies about a people whose genocide you bankrolled.

Dear President Obama,
I saw in your statement you said "Israeli families" & "the people of Gaza."
Palestinians have families, too.
This kind of language contributes to dehumanization. Dehumanization is part of what caused so many to stay silent as 20,000 children were killed in this genocide.
I've sat with wonderful Palestinian families from Gaza. They look at their children just like we look at ours - with all the love & hope in the world.

I know the plural of anecdote isn't data, but imagine having had this experience and still triangulating to "trans women have an unfair advantage in sports." You're doing this because you want to.

Character matters, and voters respect it. When I was DA, I did not seek
the death penalty in a case I successfully prosecuted for the murder of a
police officer. There were demonstrations, death threats. The AG—a
Democrat—and the US attorney tried to take the case away from me. I
thought my career was over. Years later, an elderly man from a conservative
part of town approached me. “You know, I didn’t agree with your decision.
But I respect the fact that you said who you were and what you were going
to do. And you stuck with it.”

Always unspoken in the liberal impulse to fact-check is the caveat that if there *were* very many trans athletes in sports or trans prisoners receiving healthcare, it *would* be a problem. They can never say "trans rights are human rights." And no, that's not what she's saying at the top.

There are two things to talk about: one is people, one is politics.
Let’s start with people. Transgender people are Americans, with the
same rights we all have, to liberty, equality, the pursuit of happiness, and
equal protection under the law.
There aren’t very many. A tiny minority of less than 1 percent of the
population.
Of these, in 2024, less than ten played on women’s college sports teams.
Less than ten.
The law says incarcerated people must be provided with medical care.
Under that law, two federal prisoners have received court-ordered gender-
affirmation surgery.
