This is a great take. Ultimately music is still a business to some. From the small artist to the big corporate labels. Even if its just a hobby to you, your work deserves to receive the protection of law.
This is probably going to be a deeply unpopular take but…

perhaps, if you are using uncleared samples in your music…

then you shouldn’t be releasing your music commercially

And I get that when it comes to hip-hop & other genres where sampling other people’s work is a huge part of the form, the # of “underground” platforms have diminished to the point where it’s hard to release anything anywhere w/o it being monetized or screened for copyright infringement by default.

this is not me saying “don’t sample”

I don’t have anything against sampling

but it is me saying “sampling stuff you don’t have the rights to sample and then putting the derivative work up on a platform that generates royalties isn’t going to go well for you.”

It’s just the nature of the game.

I think it’s bad that ai allows people to pretend to live in completely separate realities so they don’t have to process news and events that make them uncomfortable. I think that is bad for the health of society!
Trump supporters are also making shitty AI videos of Trump arresting Mamdani in the Oval Office.

They don't know how to process what just happened in real life, so they're making the version they prefer with AI.

If there is to be any argument that Christianity serves some sort of good on a societal level, it is this:

To make a world in which a teenage mom wouldn’t have given birth in a stable. In which doors would have been open, in which hands would have pulled her inside a home, given her help, comfort.
