Tonight, Redland’s USD’s school board rejected the pleas of dozens of informed, thoughtful, compassionate educators, parents, librarians & other community members who urged them to follow the recs of multiple review panels to keep The Bluest Eye & Push available to high school students.
Allies in Redlands are dealing w/ the wasteful, bigoted impact of a reactionary school board majority- tonight, they’re voting to remove 2 award-winning novels from school libraries (both by acclaimed Black writers) despite the books having already been reviewed and approved by a panel of experts.

It is absolutely wild that the guy who won’t stop yelling about law and order is now personally stepping in to keep January 6 documents hidden from the police officers who were attacked that day. He knows exactly what’s in those files and he is terrified the country will see it.
