I mean, not just Jewish siblings but all of us who draw from the great European/ME mishmash. One of my sisters is blonde and blue eyed like me; the other is dark haired and dark eyed. None of us, to our mother's abiding grief, got the red hair (my mom is basically a carbon copy of her brother).

I'm an Anglican so not familiar with every detail of the Catholic rules, but I've certainly seen Catholic priests celebrate the Eucharist in many places outside church walls, including my cousin's recent wedding in Peru as well as a social justice context like a protest.

An altar is never required when you're transporting the already-consecrated host to people who are physically unable to access the sacrament by attending worship, which is what's happening here.

"You're making us all look bad" is one thing, and fairly understandable, when there's literally no infrastructure for bikes. But when the system is rapidly altering itself to accommodate you, there needs to be some accommodation in response!

It makes me SO MAD the way they use the road by the river as their personal practice track when there's a long-established bike path RIGHT THERE.

Like, so sorry that we peons commuting or riding with kids would get in your way, but that still does not give you the right to ride three across

I gotta tell you, the church has been protesting like that for decades. Not sure what the exact combination of factors is that caused it to break containment this time, and the fact that it's finally getting attention is definitely a good thing, but this is not new.

We're at the point where we really do need an organized campaign of education and enforcement to teach the bike riders that they (we) are TRAFFIC, and need to act like it and follow the rules.

I, as a cyclist, have been nearly hit, and cursed out, by lycra-clad road warriors ignoring stop signs.
