A Letter to My Fellow White Homeschool Moms
The vast majority of homeschoolers are white women, this means there’s a good chance that you, my current reader, are a white woman. This article is not about silencing you, but about encouraging mindfulness and intentionality in our words and actions.…

A Letter to My Fellow White Homeschool Moms
The vast majority of homeschoolers are white women, this means there’s a good chance that you, my current reader, are a white woman. This article is not about silencing you, but about encouraging mindfulness and intentionality in our words and actions. Since we occupy the majority, our voices carry a lot of weight within the homeschool community. The incidental consequence of this is that we overshadow other voices.

Meta has lately taken the “yep, we’re doing creep shit - allowing kids to view adult imagery, have sexualized discussions with chat bots, and we’re also pushing photos of kids into grown adult’s feeds without their parent’s consent, whatcha gonna do about it” approach
We should shut that down
        We should shut that down
They realize that makes it worse, right?

Violence is always unacceptable, and threats of violence have no place in public discourse. Our thoughts are with Charlie Kirk and his family.

When I first heard about Night Zookeeper, I was intrigued. A gamified approach to language arts? A platform that could actually get kids excited about writing? As a homeschooling parent, that sounded almost too good to be true. At first, I…

Review: Night Zookeeper – A Great Idea, Poorly Done
When I first heard about Night Zookeeper, I was intrigued. A gamified approach to language arts? A platform that could actually get kids excited about writing? As a homeschooling parent, that sounded almost too good to be true. At first, I thought it might actually deliver. My kids were excited, and while the program was a bit clunky to navigate, I had high hopes.

On this Chairteenth, we celebrate the good folks of Montgomery, especially our guy AquaMayne. Special shout out to the folks who, within 72 hours, recreated this in their apartment complex. A COMMUNITY!! 💀
