Batman Doom that Came to Gotham, and Batman Soul of the Dragon are both good and would recommend. Though your milage may vary for the quality of the rest of them.

I'd say it's a good amount of parts to get the important story beats, plus it works best if there's some status quo change going. With the New Batman getting a chunk of the story to show him as Batman, but also why he shouldn't be Batman. Plus it gives Bruce's recovery a bit more weight to it.

I'm expecting movie 1: Bane breaks loads of criminals out of prison/Arkham to wear Batman down, ending with him breaking Batman's back
2: aftermath of that plus the new Batman steps up and defeats Bane
3. New Batman shows why the "darker edgy" Batman is a bad idea + Bruce heals up

I have wondered for a while why Knightfall was never really discussed for an adaptation, given it was the big Batman event of the 90s and they've adapted Death of Superman twice now as aniamted movies. Hopefully these are good and the animation is better than the last 5+ years of DC animation.

Holy new animated movie, Batman! I honestly wasn't expecting any new DC animated movies given they ended the line last year. Also given the scope of Knightfall I'd say 4 movies is a good amount to get the pacing right to do the story justice. Something that has been a problem in the past.
