The problem with “it’s not a choice” as the core of a defense, whether of being transgender or simply being fat, is the frequency of an implicit underlying “because nobody would ever want to be like this,” which is simply not true in either case.

Just in case you thought this was about trans athletes. This was solely about creating a fascist and racist gender bureaucracy over what constitutes being feminine enough to be considered a woman.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

From VA Gov to Loudoun County to New Jersey to New York City and Pennsylvania, anti-trans Republicans are falling left and right.

For the whole time I have done drag, it has never been anything more than "on the side" of a full-time job. I got fewer opportunities because of working around a full-time schedule, but ultimately, the only person I knew who made a full-time career from drag had financial support from their family.
When people hear that I'm returning to part time work they often ask "are things not going well with your art?"
The problem really is things are going well, but the world is so unstable that I long for some consistency and income that I don't have to pay quarterly taxes on

Went down a rabbit hole learning about the term 'transgender cissexual', and honestly, the trans discourse has gotten far too granular imo.
It's at a point where (again, imo) our desire to linguistically explain every fact of our being/desires descends into navel-gazing and isn't really helpful.

I just had my first session of VTM as Storyteller, and holy shit, that was a ton of fun!
After years of practice, I've been turning my player brain into a storyteller brain, and my gosh, it's a big adjustment. Very rewarding though!

However, upon going back and reading Gen X? Those kids were exactly what I needed in the 90s. I *wish* I'd been reading that book as it came out!
