I loved the last few years of Peanuts. the effort visible in Schulz’s shaky lines, his near total obsession with Rerun, the increasing absurdity… it was a highlight of the day.
Here's the full comic, from January 2, 2000. It was the last strip that featured Peppermint Patty, arguably Peanuts greatest character. Schulz died six weeks after it was published. It's perfection.

There's a lamentably high volume of AI images in the world of smaller theaters and drive-ins. Look at this fresh hell. Who holds a remote control like this? WHO USES A REMOTE AT A DRIVE-IN? Also, if I ever willingly use a cup that says "movie time," please take my .22 rifle and end my suffering.
