Morning at Magreth's Curios, the sign blowing in the wind. "Ready to meet your destiny?" Magreth asks, her hand on a cylinder. "As I'll ever be." Soma says.

Magreth lifts her hand up, showing a pair of dice. "I got an eight! I win!" She says, clapping. Her and Soma are playing a board game.

Soma slumps his head forward. "I knew it'd end this way..." He murmurs. "You know, I'm not one to judge people for being lazy..." Caster chimes in from their bookshelf nook, "but I'm not the one that's gotta pay taxes."

Magreth turns, asking "Why can't we just have a simple, no-magic day?"

"You okay, Magreth? You're acting odd..." Soma asks. She raises her hands, "Of course, what you make you think I'm not? I'm doing just..." Magreth takes a breath. "Actually, no. Can't put my finger on what it is, but..."

"I can feel something about to change."

Dazzio grips his tome, the embedded screen blinking. He stands on his broom, looking out across the sky. "Looks like I've finally made it. After all these years..."

"You're coming home."

During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door.   It wasn’t the feds — it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.

He let them hide in his unit for the next 3 days.

Please come visit Portland. It’s a beautiful, eclectic city with absolutely phenomenal food. You can also get some damn great cocktails. People are nice. You can get just about anywhere on public transportation. If you time it right you can watch naked people ride bicycles.
