They know good and well that’s not what insubordination is. They know that the obligation is for members of the military to reject immoral/illegal orders and that code supersedes all others.

Ok-is she scared, running, or throwing her lot in with Nick Fuentes? She’s been “thinking a lot” since Kirk’s death, but space lasers believer wouldn’t denounce Fuentes on that interview. Could be scared. But there are growing anti Semitic conspiracy theories about Israel with Kirk and Epstein.

Also if Aaron is saying this data is still good, I’d trust him. When his org or Cato start questioning it, then it’s when not to believe it. (You get really good at spotting irregularities in data when you are always playing in it, so find those people for all gov data is my advice).
NEW: ICE has finally released post-shutdown detention data. The latest data reveals that a full 40%(!) of people arrested in the interior and held in ICE detention have no criminal record; no criminal charges or prior convictions. That is up from just 4% when Trump took office.

I’ve been REALLY reticent to use the term “disappear” to refer to people arrested by immigration enforcement, even when there’s now routinely a lag of hours or days before loved ones know where they’re being held.

This is an actual literal disappearance. www.ms.now/msnbc/news/i...

While I like to harp on the Dems not using their platforms more effectively, a clear other issue is the media environment.

Local news is dead. This has a huge impact.
one of the underrated factors for the rise in scamming across U.S. society is the death of local media.
It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.

Things I want to indoctrinate my students about:
- There is never a “mandate”.
- Politicians still need the votes and obey the law (or they should)
- populism requires attacks on lib, pluralist democracy where there’s a unified good people and evil plotters standing in the way of the people.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com
