Reading the news and oh god, I feel for my American friends. Every federal government official sounds like the drunkest, most belligerent heckler at a comedy show somehow found themself onstage.

This is a terrific piece of rhetorical construction that also happens to be a very good point. A lot of us have been heartened by the courage and integrity so many Minnesotans have shown over this past week, in the face of intimidation and spiteful violence.

Thought I'd check up on a friend's post from a few days ago stating very confidently that the U.S. would never invade Greenland or Canada.

Oddly, I can't seem to find it.

Honestly, some people on the Parks Board won't be satisfied until Stanley Park is a Six Flags. #vancouver
From a press release about the Harry Potter experience in Vancouver today. You know the one that pushed a beloved by-donation holiday light attraction out of the park and put $ into the coffers of a horrible human.

“On the heels of strong interest and an enthusiastic reception…”

Absolutely not.

The whole movie’s an occupational health and safety nightmare.
Star Wars missing a scene where the cantina bartender quits their job that evening. Normally, you get a few rowdy drunks maybe but in one day, someone gets their arm chopped off and another guy is murdered! And the killer just tosses him a few coins as an apology. Not doing this anymore!
