I like that when I joined bluesky it was a place for sickos to not be bothered by Nazis but now it has a reputation for being super libbed up so when I say something like "do you think Wolverine got regular boners or did it pop in and out like his claws" someone will stop by to say "VOTE!"

Bondi really wants you to believe that a nonzero number of american leftists were actually going to firebomb a walmart lmao. come on
it's almost quaint to remember the healthy amount of rational skepticism one would have about these types of announcements in the past. now it's just like, "this is obviously a massive lie and false flag"

I do wonder if we're mistake YouTube self-promo shorts for actual YouTube. Like, people still want the actual podcast more than the YouTube video.

Charlie's show is great. I'm sure it has a ton of listeners. The YouTube numbers are tiny by comparison. The real numbers are in the promo shorts.
tried to get into a lot of this in our ep about why everyone's becoming a youtuber now (conveniently on youtube, srry) www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzFg...

Faculty had some light training in Indigenous Pedagogy, and it’s really striking to me how much of it was basically parallel to ultra-traditional liberal artsy pedagogy, and other bits parallel to, like, Oxford shit.

“At Texas A&M, internal emails show staff are using AI software to search syllabi and course descriptions for words that could raise concerns under new system policies restricting how faculty teach about race and gender.”

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

it's actually kinda funny in a way to get to the finish line of curing cancer and having the government go eh you know what. never mind
A tiny trial in New York has shown that personalized mRNA vaccines can provoke massive, lasting immune responses against pancreatic cancer, even as sweeping federal cuts now threaten the fragile labs required to produce them.

Even for me, this is pretty in the weeds, but the shift in tone in SCOTUSblog's coverage since Sarah Isgur and The Dispatch took over—more deferential to the Court, more reverential of the justices as celebrities, more credulous and stenographic across the board—has been...notable
Maybe this new blog can respond, in one of its first posts, to the argument that the term “interim docket” is a deliberately misleading attempt to minimize the (very permanent) doctrinal and real-world consequences of #SCOTUS’s rulings on emergency applications?

I guess it makes sense, as the AI bubble nears bursting, that a bunch of companies who were, to a much lesser degree, inflating their own value by promising AI integration, are now going to join NVIDIA in reinforcing that bubble for as long as they can
