In 2017, I believed the institutions would hold on to withstand Trump’s worst impulses. They hung on by a thread. Then I watched Trump, Miller & Project 2025 plot for 4 years to make sure they wouldn’t hold again. Which is why I didn’t believe they would hold again. They aren’t.

After October 2020 and J6, I’m not going to presume that illness or insanity will bring republicans to their senses. He’s always looked like a jaundiced blob, raving like a madman so to them, nothing’s changed
I know everyone is focused on his despotic attacks against the NYT, and that is important, but it must be acknowledged that something extreme is going on with Trump's health

Sure there’s the AI bubble, but there’s also the Trump bubble. Right now the stock market is high and the privileged classes have their sanctioned scapegoats. What happens when that bubble bursts and right is forced to watch the movie the rest of us are watching?

I consider this series to be literal prophecy
If you have never read Parable of the Sower or Parable of the Talents, now is the time.

It’s about a future where the worst parts of our current world are never stopped and how we find hope anyway.

Donald Trump has ruined my life. But liberals want to make him stop ruining the lives of other people that I don't like. I have never felt more politically homeless.

I put off reading “Ready Player One”
Because I assumed it was just Gen X nostalgia porn dressed up as YA cyber punk. And although it is that, it’s very well written and essential reading for today’s high schoolers in navigating the internet

This is where DisneyLand’s Star Cruiser went wrong
Star Trek TNG proves viewers crave a spaceship that looks like a mid-budget hotel. Fictional starships are usually metallic and futuristic but the public wants warm lighting, beige wall panels, and soft carpets like a Ramada Inn

I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

I really think two of the best mental health decisions I've made in the past few years were a) leaving the algorithmic Meta/Twitter rage machines and 2) shutting off my watch history on YouTube. Highly recommend doing both.

Introduction by Jake Tapper
Trump's dementia has grown so extreme that a select group of advisors are now running the country without his input. To find who those advisors are and what their plans are, buy my new book, which will appear in March 2029.

In Octavia Butler’s “Parable” series, it’s not the first rightwing demagogue hounds up heretics, it’s the one who comes after
I say this with no hyperbole: if there’s one public figure I could see carrying out a religious genocide, it’s JD.
