Ok new behavior observed! A juvenile Cooper's Hawk came into the yard and then crawled under the bushes. He flushed a rabbit and maybe 10 dark eyed juncos, then went BACK into the bushes to wait.
This is the first time I've seen a hawk like this hunt from the ground
