Anthropic's model was ready to kill someone. Wow so AI is even coming for the jobs of health insurance executives
"It was ready to kill someone, wasn't it?"

"Yes."

Daisy McGregor, UK policy chief at Anthropic, a top AI company, says it's "massively concerning" that Anthropic's Claude AI has shown in testing that it's willing to blackmail and kill in order to avoid being shut down.

The exact thing that antizionist/non-Zionist Jews have been warning would happen, is happening — thanks to the Israeli government's insistence that Israel, by definition, speaks for world Jewry and that any criticism of Israeli's policies is antisemitism.

This inevitably LEADS to antisemitism.

Had a dream I was driving with the fam, made a U-turn & saw a line of cop cars coming toward us so I pulled over. Then they surrounded us, pointed at our heads & verified our IDs. They claimed that I acted scared when I saw them so they had to investigate. So that's where we're at

I thought getting rid of immigrants was supposed to save us money
From @aljazeera.com : “ICE’s budget went to $75 BILLION - more than all but 15 militaries… $45B to detention (GEO GROUP & CORE CIVIC), larger than the budget for the entire federal prison system… ICE’s budget could cover Medicaid for 2 million Americans…”

Cruelty is big business.

So Zohran endorses Hochul. Totally predictable, still disappointing. Obviously a strategic move. But after also throwing Chi Ossé under the bus, how should we understand his approach? Move up & close the door behind, or ruthless realpolitik? Certainly not prefigurative. Hope the tactics succeed
NEW: Mayor Mamdani is set to endorse Gov. Hochul’s reelection run this week, providing her a critical inroad with progressive voters, per four sources.

It deals a near fatal blow to Antonio Delgado's campaign.

Yes and … I’ve found there’s as much solidarity as mistrust. In Feb 2017 when Yemeni deli owners shutdown their stores to protest Trump 1.0’s Muslim travel ban, we put up a sign in Crown Heights & got dozens of signatures of support from folks in the neighborhood. (Pic from still early in the day.)

The manifold layers of horror & trauma …

I visited the George Floyd memorial last week & just learned about the shop worker at the Palestinian-owned store who called the cops on him for a counterfeit $20, and had to process their guilt, regret & contrition for that.
Jose Huerta Chuma is a man in hiding — and he's also a man in distress. He's been replaying the fatal shooting of Minneapolis resident Alex Pretti over and over again in his mind, wondering if he could have done something differently and if there's something that "would have saved that life."

Epstein dump has so many horrors. But one bit of levity is Elon being exposed over & again as the pathetic nebbishy dweeb that he is. Repeatedly begging to get invited to the rape party & getting dissed. Disgusting
Epstein doesn't seem to be concerned about hurting Musk's feelings; exposing the curt instruction he gave his minion

Just back from a visit to the Twin Cities. All the best & worst of humanity pushing up against each other in one place. So many abstract things became concrete for me, driving past abandoned cars in the street, visiting the memorials. A situation I never imagined seeing in this country.

I've asked this question to myself many times and I appreciate this perspective
This is a good question. Let's talk about it!

Why do civil servants resign in protest? Couldn't they have done more good on the inside? 🧵
Sincerely wanting to understand why is honest people resigning, being considered an act of bravery or somehow fruitful. It’s one thing if the admin felt embarrassed by the resignations & rectified course. But that’s not happening, so now our institutions are just left with fewer people of integrity.
