Here are four of our many more courses at dinner. I think this area is known for mushrooms, so they featured heavily in the meal, and they were really good! And that beef? Omggggg

My recommendation is always to splurge on a night at a ryokan. Our Himeji ryokan has public onsen, but because those are gender segregated, we got a room with an attached open-air bath. It is really quiet and peaceful out here.

Tokyo is very overcast, but the skies cleared up enough once we started traveling west on the shinkansen. We saw Mt. Fuji!

Our first day was just to arrive in Tokyo in the early evening and crash for a night. I fell asleep by 8 pm and woke up at 6 today, so we walked around Ueno Park and saw many cute dogs.

We also spotted cats!
