if “ai isn’t going away” this makes you wonder why it doesn’t just replace executives instead of people with actual skills
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

And then bombed Nigeria.

I’m sure that it was a very well considered operation that responsibly used US military resources and definitely furthered US national security interests.

the evil corruption is just right out in the open.
GOP operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, convicted election fraudsters, were paid $960,000 in the second quarter to secure a pardon for a former nursing-home operator who defrauded the government of $38 million. Trump pardoned the man, Joseph Schwartz, last month.

Even some of the president’s closest advisers have been surprised by a number of the recent series of pardons.

Merry Christmas! (Or happy Holidays.)
This is NGC 2264, also called the "Christmas Tree Cluster." It's a cluster of young stars about 2,500 light years away.

They were 'born' during the Pliocene Epoch (2-5 MYA), about the same time as early hominids like Ardipithecus or Homo habilis, so they're barely older than humanity.

I fault Biden some, but the norms preservers who stymied his agenda — shooting down the John Lewis VRA, stripping care-economy plans from Build Back Better, branding the infrastructure bill as bipartisan as if to trumpet a return of normalcy — definitively failed. Definitively, disastrously failed.
I think it’s a reflection of their own attitudes. Both Biden and they were trying to live in a fantasy where those 4 years were a return to normalcy as opposed to the most urgent moment in American history to preserve what was left of democracy.

Winning a vindictive prosecution motion is a very hard thing to do. But in this case, the Trump admin keeps handing the defense more and more evidence of vindictiveness, and they're not exactly making the judge sympathetic to them either.

#IndiaAQ So let's say the Delhi government spends thousand of crores and makes millions and many businesses spend money to upgrade their vehicles to electric.
And after all this, the Delhi air pollution levels drop by less than 5%. PM10 possibly even increases.

What happens then?
