IMO Bigfoot is one of the best beers ever made. Big chewy malts with a crisp bitterness and hoppy note that coats the mouth. I'm always amazed how well the bitterness holds up as it ages as well. Complex yet clean.

Approaching 1 month off the bike. Formal shoulder diagnosis is a pinched nerve and I've finally started PT. Still in a bit of pain though. Been slowly swapping parts over from the Allez. Just need new bar tape and the bb/crankset installed. Hoping to get on it yet this fall. 🤞

Dept of Commerce considering a new 50% tariff on bicycles, ebikes, and frame-parts classifying them as a "threat to national security" is some bullshit. And Guardian Bikes, a direct to consumer company agreeing with the tarrif suggestion doesn't help anything. It's gonna kill bike shops.

CVS minute clinic confirms we're in network online. Schedule appt for Myra's ear. Show up to have Health Partners tell us we're not. Call Health Partners who then refers me to an in-network contact which turns out to be wait for it.....the CVS minute clinic website. What a fucking joke.

Pulled the trigger. It's old, but it's in beautiful shape. The geo fits me perfectly and it's an insanely comfy ride. I actually used to work on this bike years ago during my shop days. Gotta swap some parts from the Allez. Can't wait to get some miles on this in 2026.

Urgent care doc didn't think I tore my rotator cuff, just a strain and didn't need an MRI. If that is indeed true, I can't imagine how painful a tear is because this borderline unbearable. Haven't really slept since Friday night. Pain meds prescribed aren't helping. PT starts in a week. Woof.

1st day in over a week that I don't have constant piercing pain in my shoulder. Not ready for the bike yet but hopefully in a couple days. PT exercises from the last time I injured my rotator cuff are starting to pay off once again. Boy is it a slow healing process.
