If you've never been to the brewery before, you may not know it's a bit of a museum. August Schell purchased this kettle in 1889 for $25000. Five years earlier he spent $5000 on his retirement home. Priorities, right?
This is why we're here part 94948234234

I was on a website of someone advertising co-packing and building your beverage from initial planning to national rollout. They tout

"Precise control over temperature, carbonation, and fill consistency"

The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

I refuse to learn what an Amfib is and so assume it’s whatever is required to keep my heart functioning while trying to bike at 0 degrees.

Do not mess around with cyclists.
Hey winter cyclists: the smartest thing I've done after threatening to do it for too many years was actually write down what to wear based on temperature. This helped immensely last year, and winter is coming 🥶

So much this. It never has to be cycling specific gear. Outdoor gear is outdoor gear. Whatever winter boots you have to walk down the block are also winter boots you can wear while pedaling a bike.
Will admit gear adds up but it made move to winter biking (on my oldest beater bike, studded tires, not wide but not skinny) much easier & I really love it now. Was a terrible skier so this is much more my jam. Winter blues vastly diminished. Be patient as you learn & be patient with speed. Lights!

Attention @chrissteller.bsky.social: I was once again on Reddit today, and have discovered that a certain user who once liked the Ed Stasium remix of Tim no longer likes the Ed Stasium remix of Tim and has remixed the remix. www.reddit.com/r/Replacemen...

It continues to amaze me how many "professional" brewers take to reddit to say brewing school/degrees is a waste of time. I wonder if they feel the same way about medical school, law school, etc. It really explains a lot about the industry.

Noting the congressional pension is based on service time, it kicks in at 5 years and her retirement date - Jan. 5, 2026 - will be the first business day after she passes five years since her first swearing in. bsky.app/profile/heli...
Any idea why she's quitting then? Her statement isn't very coherent (big surprise), although it would make more sense as an explanation of just not running for re-election.

I prefer a Secretary of Transportation that

1) Wears something a little more professional than an open collared shirt
2) Knows how to come his hair

My opinion, however, carries about as much importance as Duffy's.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

The engineers and techs for the MRI seemed to have figured out
1) What a magnet is
2) How a magnet works

This is amazing news!
Trump: I had an MRI and the result was outstanding.

Reporter: Was it your brain?

Trump: I have no idea what they analyzed, but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well.

@dinfontay.com Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but with the bourbon industry crumbling (for a number or reasons, including the ongoing tariff war), and McConnell being from Kentucky, and Kentucky being the Bourbon capital, is it odd that McConnell is trying to kill the THC industry?
