The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Tried to book a blood donation appointment this morning and my local place was booked out until Friday. When I went to see if I could book another location the website had crashed from all the activity. Don't listen to anyone who dares try to divide us right now. Our community are helping each other

Felt so awful and angry last night with the news of the antisemitic terror attack at Bondi. Went to two community events on the weekend where it really felt like the best of Aus and Sydney. I met volunteers, artists, families and lots of dogs.

What depresses me most about the U16 social media ban. Is this all we get for bipartisan, political consensus. Not a ban on Gambling ads, not a ban on coal and gas mines, no attempts to fix the housing crisis. If pretending to stop kids using TikTok is all we get then whats the point of the majors.

In the long term this is what will kill what's left of America's miniscule credibility in MENA: US-backed ceasefires are when the Arab ceases and Israel continues to fire.

And this is not a Trump problem, but a bipartisan problem. This "ceasefire" was achieved by the previous president.
A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect a year ago today.

Since then, Israel has violated the ceasefire nearly 10,000 times: 7,500 violations of Lebanese airspace and almost 2,500 ground violations, according to the UN.

It seems obvious to me Labor aren't willing to do a deal with the Greens. That's fine *shrugs* the Greens should block it. If Labor aren't willing to do the minimums of protecting native forests and fighting Climate Change. Then let Labor explain that to the voters.
Once again Labor are blaming The Greens for being “blockers” instead of admitting that they are asking The Greens to vote for watered down climate and nature policies.
