I'm as annoyed by the grifty Democratic fundraising emails as anyone, but they are nothing compared to the grifty (and bigoted) Republican pitches for money.

what epstein did was only possible because massive amounts of money bent rules and systems around him and pulled people into his orbit

If we do not allow that much mass to accumulate, it cannot exert that kind of influence
if money was mass, billionaires are black holes.

they distort the shape of the universe around them. they crush and accumulate and pull in anything that gets close, just by the force of what they already have. normal rules break down in their proximity.

they are bad for human beings
this is, once again, why billionaires should not be a thing

a single person should not be able to have the kind of influence Elon does solely because of their wealth

it doesn’t matter if some folks use their money for good; the fact that it can be used this way is enough reason to disallow it

It makes sense that the actually-real global cabal of powerful pedophiles made destroying USAID one of their first priorities.

They have to protect the global supply of profoundly desperate poor kids - that’s exactly who they target for trafficking and rape.

it is both true that firing bovino doesn’t change a whole lot in terms of policy and also true that they have put a lot of money, time and effort into trying to make him the “never back down, fuck you, we own this place” face of the operation, and unceremoniously kicking him to the curb is a retreat

Do better. Call your buddy George W. Bush and show up together in Minneapolis.

Don’t just write statements. DO something with your megaphone.
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
