Worst ever? This Senate is a non-stop, multiple-choice horror show, from dangerous appointees to health care failures to dereliction of its constitutional duties. I talk with Senate expert @irashapiro.bsky.social about its betrayals in my latest at @thebulwark.com

Worst. Senate. Ever.
Republican senators surrendered to Trump, and now they own this catastrophe.

The Trump Admin's unrealistic caps on student loans for nurses will worsen the health care workforce shortage in our country. Nurses are the backbone of our health care system—these caps will deprive them of critical support.

Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

MEDICARE FOR ALL IS POPULAR: “A new poll finds 65% of voters support a Medicare for All system. That includes 78% of Democrats, 71% of independents, and 49% of Republicans.”

I bet in all of history we could count on one hand how many US Attorneys, whether properly or improperly appointed, have been sanctioned for nearly $1 million for arguing frivolous legal theories for a political purpose.

In fact, bet it is even on just one finger.

The SecState explanation of the essence & origin of the 28 pt plan presented to Ukraine BY THE US is a strong indicator of the lack of competence of those representing our nation in these efforts.

Russia does these things. It’s well known. Smart negotiators know not to let them happen.

You know what started all this BS?

A paper published in The Lancet in 1998 by Dr. Andrew Wakefield.

In 2010, The Lancet retracted the study and Dr. Wakefield lost his medical license.

EVERY large study has demonstrated NO CONNECTION between vaccines and autism.
this man has blood on his hands and everyone who supported him and excused him has blood on their hands and I do not want to hear a single fucking Democrat with any position other than "impeach and remove him immediately"

he and his MAHA movement are child killers
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

This past week there was a photo from Trump's gala of a barely clad woman frolicking in a giant champagne glass.
She looked like a teen.
It made me think of Jane Doe-another young woman who attempted to shine a light on the darkness in Trumpland.
My latest.

It’s time for EVERY American to shed their politics and confront our grim reality.

Donald Trump is a mentally unhinged authoritarian.

He wants to burn down everything good and decent in our Republic for daring to hold him accountable.

He is a threat to America…and the world.

Completely missed the point.

1) Trump had the entire east wing of the white house destroyed.
2) He did not involve congress at all.
3) He lied by saying the new ballroom would not even touch the east wing.
