This is the way. I took a media literacy course my freshman year of college as a lark and it turned out to be the best and most important class I ever took.
Being able to identify hoaxes, avoid scams & debunk propaganda is a civic skill required in today's information society. That's why curriculum for students in Finland includes media literacy lessons, aimed at safeguarding a precious resource: the truth. Via @aljazeera.com

Had a great time campaigning today in #GortonAndDenton. Activists from near and far turned up on a bright Wednesday to get our first batch of @greenparty.org.uk leaflets delivered.

We’re fighting this with the power of people and community. /1 🧵

Some good news. The actual tunnels will be in place.

We now need Euston safeguarded for a full 11 platforms, & reinstatement of all plans for the Crewe, Manchester and Leeds sections. @greens4hs2.bsky.social

We need this in Edinburgh!

There is a lot of intense speculation about who the Green Party’s candidate for the Gorton and Denton by-election might be… We are busy democratically selecting a candidate. (And it’s definitely not me) 💚🗳️

Here are some greyhounds.

Andy Burnham won't be allowed to stand in Gorton and Denton.

This means it is the Green Party who will take the seat.

Vote for them if you don't want Fuhrer Farage ruling over you.

We are not here to be disappointed by Labour anymore. At the by-election in Gorton and Denton, we are here to replace them. This election is a two-way race now - Greens Vs Reform.

Burnham has been blocked from standing in the Gorton&Denton by-election.

1) for the by-election itself it becomes a two way fight between Greens and Reform.

2) we don’t have the huge expense and effort of a mayoral by-election to worry about.

3) opens up winnable council seats 👀

The UK must urgently boost our own defence capabilities, disentangle our military from that of the US, and deepen our relationship with European partners.

Investing in diplomacy and outreach to make conflict less likely is essential and a moral obligation, but we must prepare for a less safe world.
Pentagon to offer 'more limited' support to US allies
The US will also offer “more limited” support to US allies, according to a new national defence strategy document.

Game on. Labour are toast. 💚
My first canvass in Gorton & Denton.

Lidl here not quite showing the upbeat Longsight in front of us.

Doorstep responses:
- "Labour have had their day. They took us for granted"
- "Reform have to be stopped"
- "Greens get us"

Game on!

The Stockport section of the Mersey river path is largely pretty good, with a decent sealed surface. Especially now the vegetation has been cut back.

But it’s let down by the stupid discriminatory barriers. Will these be removed, if the route is being upgraded?

This is the best campaign video I’ve seen in years. Things are horrible and getting worse, and there are actually solutions to all of this if we stop voting for the people who have been breaking everything for decades.
