The conflicting answers to this question posed on Threads are why I chose to start home adult emails from students updating them on the students’ progress. It was a game-changer and it forced students to be accountable in a tangible way for their own progress.

I studied the Holocaust in Poland. I taught it to high schoolers, & frequently taught Japanese internment in the United States as well.
I'm not saying these events are equivalent horrors, but what were those ten years of lessons *for* if not an inoculation against this kind of dehumanization?

Holy crap. The DOJ is arguing that the President can unilaterally deport anyone he wants without ANY statutory authority, just on his inherent authority as President over national security.
That is a terrifying claim to make and not one that has ever been recognized before in US history.
