Sad mezzo. Toils in the development money mines for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Sometimes I just want to be Link from the Legend of Zelda.
Just got my 2nd shot in the HPV series last week! Get vaxxed!
This is wonderful news, and also means it’s time for me to beat the drum I always do when HPV vaccines make the news:

They are not only for women! HPV also causes penile, anal, and head and neck cancers. The latter are particularly deadly. Please vaccinate ALL your children.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!

😂 Olivia does not miss and while I want her to do “Schöne Müllerin” next, isn’t that one already infused with dirtbag energy?
"no seriously you think it’s so funny that i saw flowers in winter
like oh let’s make fun of the guy who took a risk and put himself out there romantically."

My pianist and I got to coach Britten’s “On this Island” with Roger Vignoles and Vignoles told me I had a great feel for Britten’s music 😭
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

Have I yelled about how awesome this shop is lately? Almost everything is customizable, body-inclusive, and very affordable. I regret to inform you that I already snagged that Van Gogh inspired necklace

While only very indirectly food-related, gather round for the tale of my family’s most infamous holiday chaos…Skunksgiving
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this

Listen, I’ve only seen Rogue One once and I distinctly remember hating the end sequence with Vader. It‘s not shot to make him look scary; it’s shot to make him look like a badass as he mows down NPCs. Same reason I gave up on the Mandalorian after S2‘s ending with Luke doing much the same thing.
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

So many good ideas in this thread and don’t miss Dan’s original thread in the quote!
Find yourself a friend whose love language is giving gifts and ask them what to get for your entire extended family.

Hint I am that friend.

Not Sure How They Deal With Criminals In Your Town, But ’Round Here We Use A Restorative Justice Process

Have now seen ”The Boy and the Heron” three times since it was released and I’m finally starting to grasp its themes and notice the threads through the whole film. It is dense with meaning!

Also, do agree somewhat with another person on here that thinks this fundamentally will not work because Link has always been the player’s avatar instead of a fully realized character—to which I say: Yeah, but *gestures at every LOZ fanfic ever which manage handily to give Link interiority*
Ok look, I am Team “This should have been animation, preferably by Studio Ghibli,” but the number of people in the quotes who think this aesthetically looks bad is distressing. Look at the stitching on Link’s tunic! Zelda is armed with a bow! That is all very good!

“Chronic rejection of temporal accuracy in favor of joy” is my new life goal
And we signed off as we usually do-

“Okay, don’t forget to have the best birthday”
“You too! Happy birthday, treat yourself!”

And from the background grumblings, I know my sweet SIL has had her day ruined by our chronic rejection of temporal accuracy in favor of joy.

Oh wow, somebody finally articulated my whole cooking deal when I switched to a full-time office job four years ago. I‘ve finally accepted that I just have to have a snack when I get home and then “aaaaah hungryyyy” quiets down enough that I can find the energy to deal with dinner
The issue seems to be that I love thinking about breakfast food and lunch sandwiches, but care very little for the concept of dinner. Also, I get home from work hungry and with no interest in spending 90 minutes cooking before I eat, so then I just snack.

Some traveller once told me
He's from a land so old he
Saw a pair of vast and trunkless legs
Near them on the sand
An expression of command
The sneering visage on a half-sunk head
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Lone level sands to horizon running
my name is Oz
and wen the stone
is broke to bits
and all alone
i lie in sand
it stretches bare
you read my words
you pls despair
Ozyman, Ozyman-
dias does what no mortal can
and his works? are they there?
no, but maybe still despair

I'm not saying EVERYONE that I write liner notes for will go on to collab with Rosalía, Björk, and Yves Tumor. I'm just saying that it has happened in the past, so we can't rule it out. Better hire me just in case
