I may live in NY, but I’ll always be a Californian; it’s a love of place, of people, of diversity (and yeah, weather). I feel relief every time my plane touches down and my heart hurts when I have to leave. I miss it. Watching the way it’s being used and abused by the right is heartbreaking.
