Hey Bluesky! I’m here.

Yes, I’m still a bit stunned by my prescient tweet (below) 14hrs before the tragic DC crash, after which many of you encouraged me to finally gravitate to here.

Happy to belatedly join the community. Tom

There’s lots to like from @brendannyhan.bsky.social here. I agree on demoralization. Also, normie Dem activism is always dominated by well-off retirees. They have more time comfort, & small aims.

Gaza protests against genocide were Gen Z’s antifascist action. (BLM too.) Where were boomers then?

Senate Republicans, if they let Hegseth recall their colleague Mark Kelly into service, ought to be careful: 17 other senators (see link) are also vets.

This shameful ploy would set a very bad precedent. Hegseth likely bluffing.

Wait, so he’s *not* a genius businessman who can apply that genius to improving the American economy?
The Trumps went all in on bitcoin and are losing their shirts.

"Trump coin, launched shortly before the inauguration, has lost more than 90% of its value since peaking at $75.35 on January 19. It was trading at $6.25 on Monday."

The family wealth diminished $1B in the crypto crash
The crypto crash has tanked the investments of the Trump family and its followers
Trump coin has plunged more than 90% since it peaked shortly after launch. The Trump family's wealth has dipped by $1 billion in the last few months.

Um, only single digit share of Latinos like the term “Latinx.” Imagine if white people (especially GOPers) decided they preferred to call African Americans “negroes” despite fact they hate the label. You’d scream!

Carville is wrong a lot but white Dems defending Latinx is insulting, not woke.

If Trump signs ACA tax credit extension, Dems should break MAGA brains with: “We are delighted Trump no longer wants to repeal and replace Obamacare, and finally recognizes the value Obamacare delivers to millions of citizens, especially in red counties and states.”

And say “Obamacare” not “ACA.”

Understand that the Halligan thing is 100% Pam Bondi's fuck-up. She could have appointed Halligan Special Attorney and this thing would still be alive.

So it's not just that HALLIGAN is an incompetent bigot.

It's that Bondi is too.

1. Venezuela is a Russian ally
2. Russia hasn't been able to support Venezuela because Ukraine is draining its resources
3. The US supports Ukrainian surrender to Russia
4. The US is threatening to invade Venezuela (go back to step 1)

Interesting that Bari Weiss and Matt Taibbi, despite exclusive access to the “files,” couldn’t figure out that Twitter was a giant bot farm run out of Russia and Nigeria.

I look forward to Weiss having Taibbi on a 60 Minutes segment exposing how Musk is profiting as a stalking horse for Putin.

First, no crimes at 1/6. Second, wrong to investigate. Third, unusual to get toll records of people instigators called. Fourth, wrong to suspend notice while investigation ongoing.

Hard for me to say how this is different from Fox News's entire business model, except that it's less sophisticated. This is transparently and obviously bad — and Elon should ban these accounts — but the spirit here of trading rage for money is pretty much a lot of right-wing media.
