It really does depend on the gardener. Some will say absolutely not, while others aren't as steadfast. Most people who choose to reduce their lawns do so to benefit their local ecosystem, and it's hard to beat local natives in that regard.

That said, it's all up to you! Plant what makes you happy.

Reminder on indigenous peoples day, permaculture, and regenerative concepts, are a rebranding of indigenous peoples’ models - they are the original authors. (Lots of white guy hippies teaching certification courses etc.) We garden on stolen land, we are benefactors of indigenous wisdom. 🌱
