Retired and I live in beautiful Maine.
Will not obey in advance.
Firmly believe that Trump is not a King and ICE is slippery and dangerous.

This is fabulous absolutely wonderful
One of the most politically valuable things Donald Trump has is his access to social media. There’s no way he would ever turn over his Truth Social login and password to just any staffer.

As soon as my great grandfather was able to afford it, he bought land in CT so that he could keep a cow and provide relatively safe milk for his 11 children, something that was really difficult to do in 1900 in NYC.

An evening full of great food, even better company, and a lot of expert moose calling.

Always a great time at Tuck’s Ale House!

Somebody should ask one of the top officials at DHS whether they knew what AnneFrank died from in the concentration camps during World War II.

Hey WP, answer us one question, do you think that Bad Bunny is an immigrant?
The Super Bowl halftime show, with Bad Bunny showcasing Latin music before a global television audience expected to top 100 million, will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star delivers an explicit political message.
The enthusiasm — and scorn — surrounding Bad Bunny’s star turn at the Super Bowl
The halftime show will illustrate the nation’s immigration divide whether or not the reggaeton star makes an explicit message about Trump’s deportation drive.

Apparently not much benefit to all those years of seniority, eh, Susan?
As the Susan Collins-friendly outlet so often does, Portland Press Herald buries the lede here.

Gotta read into the piece to learn that Collins -- who we keep being told has enormous sway over govt funding decisions -- isn't even involved in the DHS funding negotiations!

Sorry, what? #MEpolitics

I’m curious why Platner thinks that it’s possible to get any kind of progressive legislation through Congress without the support of the Congressional Black Caucus. It certainly is a novel way to get that support to call one of their leaders “stupid”.

Susan Collins voted to confirm Kristi Noem.

Now, under her direction, ICE has taken people from our state and we still don’t know where they are. We need answers now.

Who’s gonna tell him?
One of the guys who's playing the TPUSA halftime thing posted something on his social media accounts about it, and the way he words this makes me think he believes that this is the real Super Bowl halftime show. Lol

Donald Trump’s ego is so bruised from when I stood up to him in the White House last year and beat him in court that he’s refusing to meet with us.

Let me be clear — he won’t be able to avoid accountability when I confront him in the Senate next year.

Makes me proud to have been a sociology major.
I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

I fear the Fifth Circuit has pretty well guaranteed that every detained immigrant will be shipped off to Texas or Louisiana ASAP.

BREAKING: Trump says he 'didn't make a mistake' with his racist video post.

Q:  "A number of Republicans are calling on you to apologize for that post. Is that something you're going to do?"

Trump: "No, I didn't make a mistake."

He adds later: "I guess it was a take off on the Lion King."

Always a good idea to dress up in mismatched camouflage and battle gear when going out to do some property damage, eh?
Just gonna drop this photo of January 6 insurrectionist Jake Lang destroying a "Prosecute ICE" sculpture in Minneapolis. He's been arrested for this, btw.

Trying to get a PR nightmare out of the country as soon as possible, I see.
HAPPENING NOW: DHS just expedited Liam Conejo Ramos' asylum hearing to this morning, meaning it's possible the five-year-old and his family could be deported as soon as today.

Did you know Maine has a successful new program to help people who have been hurt most by skyrocketing rents? It's called the Eviction Prevention Program, and it's helping all across Maine.

BUT the legislature must act now to fund it!

How Mainers stepped in to help during the ICE surge
Spurred by a desire to support their neighbors, people delivered groceries, offered rides, donated money and protested the federal immigration enforcement.
