Through 14 innings of fearless, near-perfect playoff baseball, this was the gutsiest call of the night.

This will be honored 30 years from tonight.

Midway through the 15th inning, the beloved "Humpy" mascot picked up his first career victory in the Salmon Run race.

Moments later, Jorge Polanco sent the #Mariners to the ALCS for the first time in nearly a quarter-century.

It's not (HIPAA doesn't apply to police agencies generally), but it's probably inaccurate! I don't doubt that's what they saw, but probably just means the breathalyzer wasn't well calibrated. Someone with this BAC would likely be in a coma.

The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.

The people who want violent protests to happen are Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, Tom Homan, and other senior appointees in his admin. They are doing everything they possibly can to provoke people to violence and it is obvious that is what they hope for daily.

In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”
Members of the force's sports squad, responsible
- among other tasks - for policing the 170 miles of tunnels, caves, galleries and catacombs that underlie large parts of Paris, stumbled on the complex while on a training exercise beneath the Palais de Chaillot, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.
After entering the network through a drain next to the Trocadero, the officers came across a tarpaulin marked: Building site, No access.
Behind that, a tunnel held a desk and a closed-circuit TV camera set to automatically record images of anyone passing. The mechanism also triggered a tape of dogs barking, "clearly designed to frighten people off," the spokesman said.
Further along, the tunnel opened into a vast 400 sq metre cave some 18m underground, "like an underground amphitheatre, with terraces cut into the rock and chairs". There the police found a full-sized cinema screen, projection equipment, and tapes of a wide variety of films, including 1950s film noir classics and more recent thrillers. None of the films were banned or even offensive, the spokesman said.
A smaller cave next door had been turned into an informal restaurant and bar. "There were bottles of whisky and other spirits behind a bar, tables and chairs, a pressure-cooker for making couscous," the spokesman said.
"The whole thing ran off a professionally installed electricity system and there were at least three phone lines down there."
Three days later, when the police returned accompanied by experts from the French electricity board to see where the power was coming from, the phone and electricity lines had been cut and a note was lying in the middle of the floor: "Do not," it said, "try to find us."

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

Some weirdo on Twitter has been absolutely melting down for like 36 straight hours because I posted:

When this is over, do not forget what ICE did, and what ICE is. And do not make room for them in society. Make sure they know that they are, and will continue to be, reviled and beneath contempt.

In Chicago, four vehicles descended and eight ICE agents moved in to kidnap a child.

She screams, “I’m 15,” as ICE yanks her from the car and kneels on her neck.

This is not about immigration enforcement.

It's about terrorizing Americans.

Whoever made the call was putting all the cards on the table. Just an unparalleled call. That could have gone SOUTH. If that had gone the other way, it would have been the end of Humpy.

Why isn’t every Democrat holding a press conference with this video, talking about the criminal army of thugs invading Chicago and the rest of the country, and the need to bring these criminals to justice? React as you would if this really was MS13 or something

Idiotic take. By the end of the game, both teams had played near perfect. Both had tons of chances offensively and fell short. Both bullpens left it all on the field. The ending wasn't much more than chance--and if it had gone the other way, the same headline would've been written about the M's.

There was some point in the game tonight, around the 13th inning, where I just felt at ease. The guys had played a near perfect game; left it all on the field. I still wanted them to win, but realized it was all up to chance at that point. Such a great game.
