We think @jayapal.house.gov is right.

On top of fighting to make life more affordable, when Democrats are back in power, fixing the Voting Rights Act, enacting campaign finance reforms, and dealing with the bought-and-paid-for Supreme Court must be a priority.

We now have a concentration camp in Florida.

Stop pretending any of this is normal.

If you claim to be a good person and you're not outwardly opposing this regime, you're not a good person.

Be human.

This man speaks up in a beautiful way. I like how he calls out some of the fascists in government and invites them to change. Well done, sir.

Today we celebrate Flag Day and the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. Our flag doesn’t belong to one man. It stands for freedom, for service, for democracy—for all of us. For 250 years, American soldiers have answered the call with courage. We honor them. Stay peaceful.

Tonight, I voted against legislation that would devastate public broadcasting.

For 60+ years, Congress has supported 1,500+ locally operated public TV & radio stations, including NHPR & NH PBS. Their programming helps kids thrive in school & keeps rural communities informed in emergencies.

A Senator asking tough questions of the executive branch is doing his job. If that now gets you roughed up and handcuffed in the United States, it does not look much like the Republic I grew up in. Americans should be very concerned.
This is appalling and intolerable. Dissent — and separation of powers — are essential to democracy, not threats to it.

There's no word to describe physically assaulting a US Senator for attending a press conference and asking a question other than authoritarianism.
