Battery plants can create advanced manufacturing jobs, help the US compete economically with China, diversify global supply chains, improve grid resilience & provide domestic supplies for automakers.

So naturally the DOE is clawing back funding for them.
DOE cancels more than $700M in battery, manufacturing projects
The nixed grants appear to be the first the Department of Energy has confirmed from a list that outlines $20 billion in potential cuts.

nice article by @scottpwaldman.bsky.social about the DOE Climate Working Group and their associations with conservative groups that are working to overturn the Endangerment Finding. The claim that they're just "doing the science" is increasingly unsupportable.

Donald Trump can't win the 2026 midterms fair and square - so he's trying to cheat by calling up his cronies in red states and asking for seats.

California: YOU have the power to stop him.

Vote YES on Prop 50 to defend fair elections and STOP Trump's election rigging.

Theft is theft, right?
Yes, it is. Unless we are talking about an employer stealing wages. Then it's "ok for a price" and in reality that price is... nothing.
Ah, and the Labour Party tried to add a tribunal fee. Of course for workers to pay.

System working as intended.
Employers Who Steal Wages Should Be Made Criminally Liable | Novara Media
A shocking investigation has revealed that employers who fail to pay wages simply get away with it. It’s time to make wage theft a criminal matter, argues Matthew Cole.

Earth has breached its 1st tipping point. Rising ocean heat pushed corals past their limit precipitating a die-off of reefs and jeopardizing the livelihoods of nearly 1bn people. Even if warming doesn't exceed
1.5C, damage to warm-water coral may be irreparable.
