I normally do not care about Stuff at all, but if you're five days late into shipping a $20 ebay purchase and not responding to messages, you can at least just let the order be cancelled instead of immediately refusing it.

I've kind of stopped paying attention to Nintendo games, but apparently they added JarJar Binks to Metroid 4.

It's awesome to be old enough to remember things like original music sampling seconds of other songs leading to costly court battles requiring licensing on the IP holders terms, to the most blatant dipshit crap that this is.

While I don't really agree with this, I don't see many people mention that while PT was very good the 2014 TGS Silent Hills trailer was kind of bad.

Beat Silent Hill f for the first time on Hard/Hard, my review:

Story, atmosphere, and vibes were all top notch and perfect.
Combat was a miserable slog and dreaded every minute of it.
9/10

So far Silent Hill is very good and spooky, slightly regretting starting on Hard combat difficulty though... 😀

Lenovo will absolutely sell you a broken Linux laptop with Ubuntu installed. No wifi, no 3d etc. I wasn't planning on keeping Ubuntu, but I did search to see if there was missing. Lots of 'will NOT work in Linux, only Windows'.

10min later and everything worked out of the box in PopOS. jfc

Last night while watching a Nightreign streamer on Twitch, someone unironically described the game as "friendslop" and it caused enough psychic damage to me, I had to just sit in silence for awhile.

Weird how this keeps happening!
Congressional Democrats voted today to sell out Washington DC and their constituents, as numerous Dems backed bills advancing the Trump takeover of DC. After meeting with our Council and saying nice things, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and leadership *declined* to whip a No vote on the bills

We don’t want AI slop.
Stop sending us AI slop.
Stop wasting our time with AI slop.
It doesn’t sound good.
It’s antithetical to our core values.
You didn’t even make it.
Knock it off.

Sad we didn't get any remakes or cozy farming sims announced this Nintendo Direct 😔

I actually bought a Chinese copy of this, based on a random SA forum thread, since it was the only version in English. This was before Demon Souls had any plans to be released outside Asia and it was looking like at the time it never would be. Now I'm a diehard souls enjoyer.

Kit and I played through the PS3 version of Demon's Souls for the first time earlier in the year (she's a long time Souls fan, and I've gained an appreciation in recent years) and really enjoyed it.

There are some incredibly vital issues at this moment in time that go beyond like, oh we disagree on marginal tax rates but we can still be friendly. Trans rights are one of those issues. Trans rights are human rights and those are not negotiable. (see also: genocide; fascism. not unrelated!)

CRYPTKEEPER: Wait just a TICKET. If I let you leave without a scary story, now would that be FARE? Here's one that gets RAIL frightening, about a dark and stormy night, the kind where you just might get caught in the TRAIN. That's right - the bone chilling tale of AN ADULT MAN WHO RODE THE SUBWAY.

The haunted house level in Capcom's NES game: Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, especially when you walk across a mirror and your reflection is a spooky ghost.
What was the first video game that scared you?

It doesn't have to be a horror game. Maybe you didn't even play it -- plenty of ads freaked me out as a kid.

JB Harold: Murder Club for the TurboGrafx CD. Great non-linear murder mystery game by Riverhillsoft, which is a port of their PC-98 game. It includes a booklet for you to take notes on the case. My used copy had it mostly filled out. #RandomGameSaturday
