So, to all the authors looking at these end of the year lists and prize winners, take heart that even some of the most distinguished prizes are relatively meaningless when it comes to determining what one person finds good or bad.

Not for me but ultimately fine. There was one that I disliked so much that halfway through, I double checked that it was indeed the correct, prize winning book and I hadn’t accidentally downloaded some imposter.

I have been working my way through the Pulitzer Prize winners for literature of the past few decades and a dozen books in, my takeaway is there is a wide variance between my tastes and the prize committees. There are 3 or 4 books that I thought were wonderful. There were a few that were simply

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
