will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other

Rewatching one of my two favorite Christmas movies. And hey, we did a podcast in 2022.

What's the fate of TCM if/when Netflix acquires Warner Bros.?

DEADLINE reported Fri that TCM would be spun off w/ the other WBD cable networks in Q3 2026. (screen cap below)

Then they edited their story to state that Netflix would own TCM.

Are they right? In short, I don't think we know. #FilmSky

I watch one TV channel. It’s not ESPN, so not subsidized by everyone else’s subscriptions. And it doesn’t have ads, fascinating in a modern landscape. Only an intense group cares about it. And every six months someone tries to set it on fire to squeeze an extra two bits out of the ashes.

i do not "also like" random podcast episodes being dropped in feeds to which I subscribe. I get It’s a dynamic insertion thing, but it's no more welcone than those 4 minutes of pre-roll ads.

KYUK is the only public radio station in remote Alaska that regularly broadcasts in the Yugtun language, providing a crucial lifeline to Indigenous communities in the area.

After Congress slashed its budget, the station isn't sure how it'll survive.
