It’s clear the reading and math at the expense of everything else directive has done massive harm to public understanding of civics and social science but this is not limited to party lines in underfunded rural districts. The average American is uninformed and unconcerned with their government.

There’s a lot of problems with using LLMs the way big tech is but one of the more daunting ones is the tiering of online information. As models cannibalize misinformation they generate, regulation or market adjustments will eventually create some kind of human authority verification.
