I guess it’s possible they were so distracted by hurting people with every single other aspect of their political agenda that they didn’t notice they were also hurting people this way, but I suspect once they found out they’d all just high-five each other

the "true" ending feels a bit...thin and i have a fair number of questions i presume some youtube video or another will clarify for me down the line, but that's a minor complaint
the leap in quality between this and the last handful of games in the series is *shocking*

i finished getting all the endings in silent hill f; about 30 hours with it all told
all the replaying did wear a bit thin after a while but they streamline the experience somewhat (the distinction between "skip cutscene" and "skip *new* cutscene" is particularly useful)
it really is very good
