The first season of Buck Rogers was massive ball of cheese, and second season will go down as one of the worst retools in TV history, but it was a fun show when I was eight years old.
As campy as it was, I watched this show every week as a kid, and still remember some of the episodes.
His farewell message is wonderful.

Like @floaker.bsky.social, it's Steve Jackson (the British one), Ian Livingstone, and Marc Gascoigne. I'm pretty certain that I did not know the name Gary Gygax until much, much later. I probably knew who Frank Chadwick was before I knew who Gygax was!
Conversation with @deadlyfredly.bsky.social has me trying to remember the first time I consciously remembered the name of an RPG designer who wasn’t Gygax. Embarrassingly, I am pretty sure it wasn’t until college, after I’d been playing for years and had been exposed to many games.

I truly hope that every single #modelrailroad and #train enthusiast under the age of 35 ends this specific type of gatekeeping foamer forever. I can't think ANYTHING that holds this hobby back more than some cantankerous busybody who tanks a blossoming interest in the hobby with dipshit nonsense.
