I used to use an app called Raindrop but recently, I've been just been using bear.app. Just means I've got everything in one place, synced across devices and coupled with using it for daily planning/todos too, I get a lot of value out of the £1-somthing I pay per month :D

Aw thanks a lot Bert! I wonder if I've uncovered a skill that's been eluding me for 40 years :D

I did another digital painting last week. This one is on the beach at Cayton Bay looking towards Scarborough

In 2008, over on what's now Elon's hellsite, I was followed by a mutual pal. We exchanged a few tweets, moved to Skype, met up IRL and have been together ever since. Married 14 years (and counting) with a happy lil family :)

Ah man, that sucks. Hope your daughter's ok. That's an impressive age for a hamster for sure 👍

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Folks, looking after grass and keeping it looking half-decent isn't hard. I've got 3 lawns to look after and during Summer it takes about an hour or so every few weeks to keep on top of it. Please stop with the fake grass.

Couple moved in next door. Old bloke lived there before had a beautiful garden. He spent every day in it. New guy ripped out everything & put fake grass in. So I've planted trees next to the boundary that will fill his lawn with dead leaves in the autumn. This one's for you Alf

Given today’s news, I was recently introduced to this piece by Patricia Routledge, and i always found it really moving.
**"I'll be turning 95 this coming Monday. In my younger years, I was often filled with worry - worry that I wasn't quite good enough, that no one would cast me again, that I wouldn't live up to my mother's hopes. But these days begin in peace, and end in gratitude."**
My life didn't quite take shape until my forties. I had worked steadily - on provincial stages, in radio plays, in West End productions - but I often felt adrift, as though I was searching for a home within myself that I hadn't quite found.
At 50, I accepted a television role that many would later associate me with - Hyacinth Bucket, of Keeping Up Appearances. I thought it would be a small part in a little series. I never imagined that it would take me into people's living rooms and hearts around the world. And truthfully, that role taught me to accept my own quirks.
It healed something in me.
At 60, I began learning Italian - not for work, but so l could sing opera in its native language. I also learned how to live alone without feeling lonely. I read poetry aloud each evening, not to perfect my diction, but to quiet my soul.
At 70, I returned to the Shakespearean stage - something I once believed I had aged out of. But this time, I had nothing to prove. I stood on those boards with stillness, and audiences felt that. I was no longer performing. I was simply being.
At 80, I took up watercolor painting. I painted flowers from my garden, old hats from my youth, and faces I remembered from the London Underground. Each painting was a quiet memory made visible.
Now, at 95, I write letters by hand. I'm learning to bake rye bread. I still breathe deeply every morning. I still adore laughter - though I no longer try to make anyone laugh. I love the quiet more than ever.
**I'm writing this to tell you something simple:**
**Growing older is not the closing act. It can be the most exquisite chapter - if you let yourself bloom again.**
Let these years ahead be your *treasure years*.
You don't need to be famous. Y…

The first Peanuts strip by Charles M. Schulz was published on October 2, 1950.
Four black and white panels of a boy and girl sitting on steps. 1st panel: Charlie Brown is approaching and the boy says “Well! Here comes ol’ Charlie Brown!” 2nd panel: As Charlie Brown passes, he says “Good ol’ Charlie Brown…yes, sir!” 3rd panel: “Good ol’ Charlie Brown…” 4th panel: Once Charlie is gone, “How I hate him!”

I've used MiniSun Lightpads for years. Only had to replace one because the cable got worn out. If you get one (or similar), I recommend taping down the cable so the weak point doesn't get overworked 👍

Artist pals, hit me up with your recommendations for coloured markers. Preferably something affordable for a decent set (Copics are out of my price range at the moment). Cheers!
