On this day, which has been designated as a day of remembrance for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I personally like to revisit Dr. King's "Letter From a Birmingham Jail". I consider it to be one of the best pieces of persuasive literature in the modern era.

This is well worth the time it takes to watch. I think Jamelle lays out a very good rough sketch of what we can do to prime to pump, so to speak, for a real effort to eliminate both ICE and the DHS.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
