Saying “just ban Social Media for under 16s” shows how ignorant many adults are…
For some it’s their only outlet, community, and safe space.
And over the last 15 years, community centres, youth clubs, etc… have been decimated.
So removing SM just compounds harm.

Being disabled, even the “simplest” things can be a bit harder, and take a bit longer.
That effort and time compounds too, so just getting through each day can become a huge feat of resilience and totally destroy any chance of anything else.

Disabled people don’t survive without community care. So for us to be considered worth surviving, that’s building a world where we all survive by supporting each other.
It should click for you how many who ask for mutual aid online are disabled. Disabled people are likely to be in poverty & isolation. Disability makes life under capitalism precarious. That’s why disability justice is intertwined with getting rid of capitalism & why mutual aid is disability justice.
