This is why I prefer to see protestors holding posters with messaging directed at their individual Congress members.

They’re accountable and they get let off the hook when everyone focuses on Trump.

In which @brianbeutler.bsky.social tells people in positions of real power: "You are actors in history, you’re writing your own epitaphs." We will need to save ourselves, but we also need to remind the people in power that they will be judged by history and hold them accountable to fight for us.

"what costs people like us sleep at night isn’t that we aren’t doing enough. It’s that we’ve lost confidence in the people who are in positions to do more. [Don't] let people in power—people who sought power, and people who have power by dint of wealth—off the hook too easily."

Consistency. No gun regulations, no business regulations, no consumer safety, no climate policy, no health insurance, no workplace safety restrictions, no disaster preparedness, no immunizations, no pandemic planning, no advancements in science, no food safety regulations, no water regulations.

I miss the mindset and naive assumption that we are all working to create a better, more humane world.

Apple’s not perfect but it will provide greater security for all users more than the government, especially during this administration. The government is using the spyware.

Now we're seeing confirmation of the NSO acquisition.

Mark my words, this is the path through which Pegasus gets put on Americans iPhones & Androids.

This dictatorship-in-a-box belongs nowhere near our constitutional rights.

The Trump White House denounced the Nobel committee's awarding of the peace prize to Venezuelan politician María Corina Machado. But Rubio is a big supporter and co-signed a letter last August to the committee saying she should win the prize. Our story: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/u...

Could have added it to his collection- the Purple Heart he didn’t earn, the fake Time magazine covers and the fake plaque at his golf course commemorating a Civil War battle that never happened.

Trump: "The person who actually got the Nobel Prize called today, called me, and said 'I'm accepting this in honor of you, because you really deserved it.' A really nice thing to do. I didn't say 'Then give it to me, though.'"

Step off the base and we’ll deport you. 🤪

It’s too bad no one has created a database tracking each time a member of Congress has sucked up to Trump like this.

Imagine a montage of clips with statements like this. Some well deserved eternal embarrassment. Let’s pool our money and buy a Super Bowl ad.

VIRGINIA CALLER: “As a Republican, I'm very disappointed in my party, and I'm very disappointed in you… I am begging you to pass this legislation. My kids could die... the audacity of someone who makes 6 figures a year to do this to military families is insane.” #TrumpShutdown

Lol. The other day I received a comparable lazy “I wrote on your cup because it’s the new CEO strict policy” message. It said “Yay.”

I wouldn’t be able to look them in the face knowing U.S. counterterrorism officials (Muslims among them) used that attempt to assist Gazans as a pretext to set me up and try to entrap me via my Congressman and his staff who cooperated.

I’ve also wondered what happened to the Gaza family members of Palestinians in my community who once turned to me asking if I could help their families escape Gaza.

I’ve lacked the courage to ask, fearing the answer.
