Unhappy with the political world. Wish we could go back to about 2012 and the London Olympics when everyone was nice to each other.
Wonderful writing Jess @piperformissouri.bsky.social. Thank you for this and for your compassion.
For three decades now, I often wake up from a dead sleep, startled by a voice saying, “Mama.” There is no one there. No child by my bedside. Just a clear voice calling out for me.
It turns out, I don’t have a little ghost — this is universal.

Trump is an utter moron. Manipulated by Putin with ease.
“You guys, Hitler wants to see Poland succeed”
Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. It sounds a little strange but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices."

Some people do my head in.
This arse is one of them.
Why TF would we care about his business…? Did he care about all the SMEs bankrupted by Brexit? Does he feel any anxiety or shame about just how much that stupid idea has cost our country and many of us personally.
No.
He can absolutely do one.

Good grief. What a pathetic baby.
Per @garretthaake.bsky.social, the extremely tacky "presidential wall of fame" that lines the colonnade to the West Wing now has obviously-Trump-penned plaques insulting or praising the presidents.

Great picture. This is what humanity has achieved. The King of the apex predators is a pathetic fraudster selling out Ukraine because he can make some money out of the deal.
This tired, deeply-damaged man is so needy. He has to have references to him being president on his hat, on his shirt, and on a golf-framed placard next to his overcooked cheeseburger he's almost too-out-of-it to eat.

I love the NHS. This last week I’ve experienced it in action twice with my son having an emergency operation and my wife having an operation for cancer. It is fantastic & the people are incredible at providing emergency care. Unsung heroes doing their jobs to keep us safe. Bless them all. Thank you!
