One more, I am begging English commentators and journalists to remember what the UK did in Northern Ireland.

Of course what's occurring in the US could happen in the UK! It already fecking did.

It’s War & Peace, not War or Peace

It’s so ugly isn’t it, when you have to see the actual fascism that underpins your way of life and country

Yeah man, the free market is definately going to work this time, I promise. It'll keep AI companies and the juggernaut of capital in check, because you see all that free market power is equitably spread across... checks notes... the holders of capital??!? oh nooooeeeee

For a start I’m not a Christian. Christianity didn’t do this, he did. He’s merely jumping on the American Christian bandwagon in an attempt to justify what he wants to do, the man has no principles or beliefs and has at no point ever had any, all he worships is being in power.

I don’t think Christianity is the problem here
absolutely batshit.

im sick and tired of christianity. just keep it to yourself and fuck off.
Stop forcing your religion down our throats.

Bloody god botherers.

the more I learn about LLMs, agents and MCPs the more my brain asks “why tho?”

more knowledge of these tools increases the disdain because after billions and billions of investment, at most we’re looking at barely acceptable mediocrity and a dangerous abuse vectors. the quality doesn’t warrant it

we're not doing "people who criticise genAI don't understand it and are ignoring its utility" any more. get better material

Hearing these 3 words:
Ready, Aim, Fire
I ask this every now and then and I’ve yet to get a good answer.

How long does it take for people to realize they’re on the wrong side of history?

Our collective task is not to save tech but to save us, our world.

The resonant computing manifesto is too focused on means and not on ends. And that's basically the core issue. The belief in technological determinism.

I think a lot of "learn to code" people thought high salaries for programmers were a permanent feature of the world rather than the result of unusual circumstances around supply and demand in the labor market. Over last 20 years, CS went from a niche college major to the most popular major in the US
New CS grads are making less than I made as an accounting graduate straight out of college a decade ago, and I don’t mean inflation adjusted, I mean nominally.
