it's genuinely astonishing to me that he turned out as balanced and well-adjusted as he seems to have done. (i think a lot of that is due to him landing the job on DDU, because he couldn't have asked for a more supportive, mentor-rich environment to suddenly experience astronomical fame in.)

it's a lot to deal with. I sometimes think about how mortifying it must have been for him to go through puberty while living full-time with a bunch of other dudes.

The Christie dichotomy for me was starkest in Murder in the Caribbean, which is on the one hand an absolutely BRILLIANT depiction of gaslighting and coercive control as forms of domestic abuse, a half-century before DV was a cultural conversation, and on the other hand replete w/cringe exoticism 😬

listen my most intense k-pop stan phase ended around the time BTS was just getting started, so i can't help you much, but i can definitely relate. even just for a single band the sheer amount of content/media there is to consume can be overwhelming. and there are SO MANY BANDS.
