The challenge of the mature and well-informed fantasist is not in choosing for or against dragons, but always to puzzle through how worthwhile & feasible it will be to reconstitute all that is already "stranger than fiction", in your own image, for the purposes of your narrative design and ends

As a writer my approach is to double down on shit AI can never possibly articulate. My writing has gotten more descriptive, more intuitive, more philosophical, more intense, more personal. Fuck the clankers and the sloppers.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

Most of us share $20 or $25 and then, at some later point, have to ask for $20 back and we move the money between us all.
